Is Registration an ASIC Registered Agent?

Registration Pty Ltd is a third-party private service provider of business name renewals and company reviews.

ASIC have clearly stated on their website (May 2026), “If you receive an unsolicited notice about a company annual review or business name renewal from a third-party, you can choose to use a third-party provider to complete your annual company review and/or renew your business name registration if you are comfortable with their additional fees.”

Registration is transparent about the difference between the statutory ASIC government fees, and their own service fees. You can view the Registration service fees clearly at reg.com.au/terms(.)

In ASIC’s own words, you have the freedom of choice to use Registration (as a third-party) to complete your Company Review or Business Name Registration if you are comfortable with the additional fees.

However, the “additional fees” are often considerably LESS than what most accountants charge.

There are many accountants who don’t like that Registration are allowed to remind you to perform your Company Review or Business Name Renewal as a service.

The fact is, Registration is often much cheaper to use to perform your Company Review than many accountants.

For example, you can perform your Company Review with Registration for $342 (ASIC Review Fee) + $107 Service Fee (inc Discount) which equals $449 total.

However, many accountants charge $342 (ASIC Review Fee) + $250 Service Fee which equals $592 total. (example 1: https://www.advaliaccountants.com.au/pricing-terms-conditions example 2: https://taxway.com.au/product/ASIC_Annual_Review.html)

This shows that Registration is $143 CHEAPER than many accounting firms.

The same can be said for Business Name Renewals.

Registration charge $171 total for three-year business name renewals, which includes the ASIC Renewal Fee of $108 plus $63 Service Fee (inc Discount).

However, many accountants charge $200 on top of the $108 ASIC Renewal Fee for a three-year business name renewal, totalling $308. (example https://www.advaliaccountants.com.au/pricing-terms-conditions)

This shows that Registration is $137 CHEAPER than many accounting firms.

Registration have disrupted accountants by offering a smarter, better, faster and cheaper Business Name Renewal and Company Review system.

It is easy to see why many accountants complain about Registration offering Company Review and Business Name Renewal services.

Accountants do not offer an easy to use and understand console panel where you can easily see when you last paid your renewal or review, where you can easily see when your next renewal or review is due, or have quick and easy access to your Record of Registration, Company Statement, Corporate Key or passed and signed Solvency Resolution documents.

You can make the modern switch today to “reg.com.au” and tell your accountant you no longer require their outdated methods to perform your Company Review or Business Name Renewal.
