Here is yet another real-life example of someone asking us to CANCEL her services and requesting a refund after engaging our Company Review service, and then forgetting to do it altogether and receiving a further $428 LATE FEE from ASIC for paying her Review Fees late and not passing her Solvency Resolution on time.
“Flores” is not her real name (we’ve changed it for this post), but she now owes the original $342 (for the statutory ASIC Review Fee) PLUS the additional $428 LATE FEE which equals $770.
If she had just left her Company Review service to us (Registration Pty Ltd), as she had engaged us to do in the first place, she only would have paid $449 in total, instead of $770 that she now owes ASIC.
Instead, she has now paid an additional $321 over what she would have paid for our service, thanks to ASIC late fees.
And for anyone who thinks an accountant or bookkeeper will help ensure every Company in Australia will perform their Company Review and pass their Solvency Resolution on time, where were they in this instance?
We see this ALL THE TIME.
Flores was not reminded by her accountant, or bookkeeper, and she obviously didn’t get the ASIC notice either, because ASIC only send you an email that may go right to your junk folder.
THIS is exactly why we created our private third-party Company Review service in the first place. And THIS is why we spend time and money physically sending our marketing correspondence renewal letters to Australian businesses and companies who can benefit from our services. To help ensure people don’t forget to meet their renewal and review obligations.
Here is our response to this customer, who initially engaged us and paid us in May 2026, then 5 days later requested cancellation and a REFUND, which caused their review service to be put on HOLD, and then she completely forgot about it and received no more reminders from anyone else.
Then, more than 3 months later, and after her Review date, she asked if we could CONTINUE to perform her Company Review service… but it was too late, and now she has to pay $770 with late fees…
This was our reply…
Flores,
You first engaged our Company Review service on 9 May 2026.
3 months ago on Thursday 14th May, you asked us to cancel your service and for a REFUND and we told you your Company Review services were ON HOLD until we heard back from you. We didn’t hear back from you for over 3 months.
Now you are wondering why you have ASIC Late Fees for not paying your Review Fees?
It’s too late for us to help you.
We have cancelled your Company Review service with us, and partially refunded you, as per our terms. Allow 7 days for your money to come back.
You need to get up to date with your own Company Review status.
Regards,
Registration Pty Ltd
